Hopi Blue "Sakwapu"
A soft blue flour corn traditionally dry-farmed below the Hopi mesas. Plants tend to be short (less than 5 ft. tall with tassels). Deep rooted and drought tolerant, loves sandy soil. Blue kernels are ground to make ceremonial piki bread.
