I live in Southern Africa, so I will only plant indoors in early July to be it in the ground in mid to late August

Awesome tepary beans

I grew these by direct sowing in a New Mexico xeriscape yard and barely watering. Plants were amazingly vigorous, either spreading over large areas on the ground or climbing up to 5 feet on shrubs. I was able to harvest enough for a meal and could have had more, if I was attentive. A couple plants even survived first frost.
