Tepehuan

q011

Originally from the Sierra Madre in southern Chihuahua. Produced well in a recent grow out in Tucson. Traditionally used as dried soup peas, but can be eaten fresh ... the pods are fibrous but the young peas are "sweet as the dickens."  For fresh eating, pick before peas fully fill the pods.  Tan-colored seeds. Approx. 10g/50 seeds per packet.

This variety is in low supply and we are currently able to make it available only to Native Seeds/SEARCH members (with a two packet limit) and through the Native American Free Seed Program.
