Domesticated Multi-claw Devil's Claw

It has been great to grow these. They are still growing, but have done well in my area. Looking forward to spring planting them.

Multi claw review

Unfortunately, my multclaw seeds did not sprout. All other seeds I ordered are growing beautifully in their starter pots. Very strange they were not viable or simply did not like the conditions, though they have been carefully potted, watered and moved into the sun each day for two months now.

Thriving multiclaw

We planted in early August. Germination took some time, but mostly produced plants. And by late September the plants are large bearing many claws. White-lined sphinx moths lay many eggs on them but only a few caterpillars seem to make it to large size. The large leaves are pretty spectacular in our xeriscape. Very happy with our plants.

Robust growth

Planted with my monsoon garden. These are robust fast growers and they love the heat. Flowering starts when only a foot tall. Highly recommend these!
