Types of Information We Collect
We collect two types of information: personally identifiable information and information that does not contain personally identifiable information which is collected on an aggregate basis as you browse our websites. In some cases, if you choose not to provide us with the requested information you may not be able to access all or some of our website content or services.
Personally Identifiable Information
We may offer the opportunity to provide personal information for the purpose of providing content and services that you request. This information is used to fulfil your specific request unless you give us permission to use it in another manner, e.g. decide to receive newsletters or emails from us.
If you indicate an interest in one of our blogs, newsletters, memberships, etc. you may be asked for your email address or other forms of contact, e.g. phone number, postal address, etc. so that we may send you the information you requested. We may retain a record of that information in order to properly respond to questions and concerns and for the purposes of future communications or marketing programs.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We use standard technologies such as cookies and web server logs to collect information about how our websites are used. We also implement Google Analytics features that use Display Advertising information for Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting.
Web server logs are server side log files that record the pages you visited on our site, the date and time of visit, your IP address, the page you visited immediately before coming to our site and the page you visited immediately after leaving our site.
You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics, by going to the Google Analytics opt-out page.
You may disable cookies at any time but this may affect your ability to interact with our site and the content we provide.
How Do We Use the Information We Collect?
We use your personally identifiable information to provide you with the information or content that you have requested, and, in some cases, to contact you about our programs, products, features or services. If you no longer wish to receive such information from us, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We use non-identifying information to better understand how people interact with our website so that we may improve the design and content of the website and to analyze the programs and services we provide and improve them.
We may provide access to your personally identifiable information when legally required to do so, to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings, to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website, to limit our legal liability and protect our rights, or to protect the rights and safety of visitors to this website or the public. In those instances, the information is provided only for that limited purpose.
We will not share your personally identifiable information without providing you an opportunity to opt-out.
We take data security very seriously. Any transactions that involve personally identifiable information are transmitted by SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. Any transaction involving the handing of credit card information is in compliance with the PCI DSS security standard as per Shopify’s PCI polices. Shopify is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant. The PCI DSS is an industry accepted security standard for organizations that handle credit and debit card information. Native Seeds SEARCH does not store your credit card information on any of our web servers.
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we take every reasonable effort to safeguard your information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
